Glass Painting:

I offer a workshop in which you can learn about the techniques used by stained glass artists since medieval times to decorate windows like those in Kings College Cambridge, as well as many other churches and cathedrals. You will then use a modern twist on these ancient techniques to apply your own design to a fused glass coaster and to a drinking glass. These are then fired in a kiln, to make the designs permanent (and dishwasher proof). The finished items will be available the next day, for collection, delivery or posting - whatever is most convenient.

The workshop, lasting 3 hours, is a great way to get together with your friends and create a lovely reminder of a fun day. All the materials are provided.

Quotes from attendees:

"This was such fun, and I've learnt such a lot... "

"I attended the Glass Painting workshop recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maureen explained everything very well and gave us individual help. She was very patient too. Despite having almost no artistic skills, I was delighted with my glass and coaster. I’ve put the glass through the dishwasher several times and the ink really does stay in place. "
